What is the best possible accuracy of Grinding Centres?
We supply dead centres with certified roundness of 0.0002mm (0.2 microns) and run-out to taper of 0.001mm (1 micron)
Live centres with guaranteed run-out of 0.002mm (2 microns) and for special cases even 0.001mm (1 micron)
What is the typical lead time for centres?
Standard centres listed in our on-line brochures are usually 1 week or less.
Custom made centres 4-8weeks. In urgent cases this can sometimes be reduced.

What is the typical cost of the CNC grinding machines listed on this site?
As most offered machines are modular and can be configured to suit customers requirements the price of the machine can vary largely.
Therefore it is very difficult to give a price range without knowing the application. In general terms prices are normally between 100'000£ and 400'000£ with exceptions on either side of the spectrum.

As Schaudt specializes in project machines that are normally customized to suit specific components lead times are in the range of 8-10 Months.
